Lessons in Revival
We all have the power to revive each other, yet we at times chose not to, at times we're unaware of the needs of another, sometimes we're just a moment too late, and another small piece of a fragile heart dies away, bit by bit, everytime broken a little bit more, until it's irepairable
We all hold within us the power
To save each other
If only we truely want to
But do we?
We're all at fail
Subdued by the forces of our habits
Addicts of pain and our pasts
We fall again and again
Yet still we don't see
We'll wait to no avail
For our saviours
From dusk to dawn
Brought down to our knees
Crying in vain
Like wolves at the moon
Night after night
We are out on our quest
For a glimpse, for a breeze
For a shimmer of hope
To make us feel alright
And it's all in the hands
Of a stranger thats ignorant
Distracted or just doesn't care
What I would do for just one moment of bliss
I'll die a Thousand deaths at your hand
And still yearn for your kiss
You can squeeze this weary battlescared heart
To the last of its drops
And still it will be yours
Cause whom else do we have
But the closest brethren nearby
A fellow seeker of something
Long lost, but not forgotten
Damn it Girl!
Let's just break these chains we wear
For something long forgiven for
That we keep draggin with each step
Beating ourselves up
Again and again
Thinking we're unworthy or banished
Of Love or the garden of Eden
I ain't no Adam and you ain't Eve
It's just you my Dearest and me
Your Steve
