Lesson Number One
Grow Up or Go Home
I always placed others before myself in my priorities,
Always came to help and assist,
Was there for others,
Never let anyone down,
Or at least tried to make them all happy,
At some point you understand how worthless it is,
How it consumes your time and then you are left alone.
Other then the fact that you can not make everyone happy,
You forget to make yourself happy.
Ironic, isn't it?
Stop it at once.
Cut it like a string,
pull it like a band aid.
It's just like 'quit smoking',
Just like rehabing from your little blanky at childhood.
Your parents teach you how to do that but when you are a grown up you can not ask them to do that for you.
You have to do it yourself. And the sooner the better.
Because some day, you are going to wake up and you will have nobody to make happy other than yourself,
And then, you look at the mirror and ask the stupidest question there is,
WHAT THE FUCK MAKES ME HAPPY?!
And you have no idea.
For years you placed yourself last and did not took the time to understand yourself and to see who you are,
What you are good at and what you dream of,
Or what you are influenced by, what you are thriving for.
At some point those questions come knocking and you are the only person there to open the door for them.
It's tough, you're not sure where to start or even how to understand yourself.
What do you do, you ask?
Let me answer that question,
And I mean EVERYTHING.
